U.S. Navy, Lieutenent J.G.
Enlisted September 30, 1942
Discharged November, 1945
Lee was a naval aviator and flew airplanes, as well as blimps. He had loved aviation from his childhood. He was trained as a navigator and a pilot. He flew blimps off the coast of California and was the commander of Blimp Squadron #32 stationed at Lakehurst, New Jersey.
He trained and later instructed at the Dallas Naval Air Station. He also flew from the aircraft carrier, D.S.S. Saratoga. As he served in the Navy, he also affirmed the call he had received as a teenager to the ministry and expressed his plans to attend the seminary after his discharge. Once, when he was flying alone over California, he encountered fog so thick that he had no visibility. As he prayed, the clouds parted as if a pathway was opened between the columns of clouds. He suddenly was able to get a clear view of the field so he could land.
He was discharged in November, 1945 from Camp Wallace, Texas. He then made plans to enter the ministry and served the Lord for 49 years before the Lord called him home in 2001.
