Rank: Sergeant
Branch: Army
Time of service: May, 1953 – May, 1955
War: Korean

I had recently lost my parents in an automobile accident and while in college, I was drafted. I had a difficult time understanding all of the turmoil taking place in my life at this time. However, I never felt anything but patriotism in serving my country even though I was being faced with possibly going into conflict with our enemy. I was blessed by the Lord in untold ways by His protection over me. I was trained at Camp Roberts, CA for sixteen weeks in the infantry and was then transferred to Fort Lewis, WA where I was assigned to the 546th Field Artillery Battalion. Our company commander was from Texas and during our interview time, he assigned me to work with the Warrant Officer and Supply Sergeant in the Service Battery where I completed my final months and became the Battalion Supply Sergeant.

The greatest blessing awaiting me shortly after my discharge and entering the Real Estate Profession, I met my precious wife, Chloie. She encouraged me to become active in the Lord's work, and we have faithfully served Him together for forty¬-eight years.
